New rule: No running in the corridor

Everyone under the age of 18 must either be in the main hall or sitting in the sofa area by the main entrance.

Please make sure you know where your children are!

This new rule is for the safety of our children as the building is open to the public so anyone could walk in!  Also for the saftey of everyone trying to move boxes and equipment around the venue.

I'd like to re-iterate the need for new venue managers. It's not a difficult job, you're just the designated person in charge of the venue and team that day and the key holder, which sometimes means you have to open up and lock up.

Come May, myself and Gabriel will be the only venue managers and I would like to be able to give Gabriel that month off as he is expecting his fourth child. I cannot rota myself on every week so unless at least one other person is willing to take on this role we won't be able to meet in Parkside every Sunday.

If you've got any questions about the role please do ask me. Otherwise, anyone?

The caretaker at Parkside is able to train a new venue manager on the locking up procedure on 25th April. If no-one volunteers by then...

I wouldn't mind doing it - any drivers (with 3 spaces) out there willing to give me lifts that early/late?

Just to clarify a few things about the new system for volunteering to do tea and coffee.

If people want to volunteer there needs to be at least two people doing the job together. You must email or call me in the office by 3pm on Wednesday to do it that Sunday (or you can sign up a few weeks in advance too). I need to know in the office earlier in the week so I can inform the venue team and meeting overseer etc. (my office hours are tue and wed 8-4). I will also email you some guidelines to help set up and pack down.

The key things ...
you need to bring the milk and biscuits
you need to arrive about 2.30 to set up and stay to clear away afterwords
you will need to take the tea towles and tableclothes home to wash and bring back the next week.

Any questions do ask.
