Youf Cycle Ride for Romania

In this photo is a group of young boys from an orphanage in Romania.

These young children are just four of many other children living in the orphanages out there and they all want your help to provide them with a better life!

Over the summer of this year I will be heading out to Romania with a group of young people from Holland to offer our support to these children. We will be setting up workshops for the younger children, visiting local hospitals and showing them that we care and love every single one of them.

In order to go I must raise £600 for the cost of the travelling, on June the 8th I will be participating in a 30miles bike ride around Cambridge and St Ives. It would mean a lot if you could sponsor me in this mission in a way of showing your support. You can give as little or as much as you like and can pay per mile or for the overall event!

Thank you!

Ola Anderson

Potential Evening in May: getting our hands dirty

Want to join our CB4 missional community on a Potential evening?  Anyone is welcome, it’d be great to have you there with us.  We’ve had one where we learned some easy and delicious recipes.  If that isn’t enough, we tasted the healthy yummy food we’d made together as well.

For our May Potential night, we planted some seeds together and talked about ways to find refreshing and rejuvenation.

Whether it’s gardening or walking or writing or horseback riding, it’s good to be reminded to take the time and make the effort to recharge your batteries. The seeds we planted will make great little plants to sell for Margaret’s Kids at the Chesterton Festival on the 30th of June.

Lads and Dads hiking day in Peak District

Our Lads and Dad day was a great success.  “God inspired” in Tim’s words.  We had a timely break from the rain that fit very nicely with our plans.

The steep part of the hike was at the beginning.  Beautiful view.

Some liked the walking itself, some liked splashing through the puddles, some liked chucking sticks and stones into the river, others liked talking or running down a long steep path.  We all got at least a little muddy, most had sore feet, but everyone I talked to enjoyed the day!
Like Statistics?  We started walking around 8am and did 8.1 miles before we called it a day and found a pub at 4ish.

Thanks Dan and Tim B. and Tim A. for making the trip happen.  And thanks to all the Dads and kids for coming and making it a great day out.
